SOUNDWEB (2025)
Soundweb (2025) is a digital ethnography and participatory sound art project that investigates how auditory experiences mediate migration, displacement and diaspora. Developed in collaboration with the transnational community of Vaglio, Italy, across global cities, the project employs sensory ethnography and deep listening as active epistemological tools. Through field recording workshops and qualitative interviews, it gathers a polyphonic archive that traces how sonic landscapes act as dynamic vessels of cultural memory, ultimately sketching an experiential, collective sonic topology of modern mobility.
GAIA (2024)
Co-created with young citizens of Stigliano for the Appartengo Public Art Festival 2024, Gaia (2024) is a community-based project exploring relational ecology and more-than-human narratives. Integrating anthropological fieldwork, tactile clay sculpting, creative writing and embodied storytelling, the project activates local collective memory to articulate new forms of environmental and creative kinship.
MONUMENTO (2024)
Monumento (2024) is a phygital public art installation that investigates oral memory and territorial care in the Alpine village of Ossana, Italy.
The project positions participatory curation as an active ethnographic method, employing place-making anthropology to counter the material permanence of traditional monuments, creating instead a “monument” made of layered site-specific soundscapes that operate alongside everyday objects as a living, mutable archive of rural social ecologies.
EVEN THE OCEAN DESIRES WATER (2024)
Even the Ocean desires water (2024) is a participatory music performance created in collaboration with women of Stigliano, Italy. The project investigates diachronic transformations in human-land relationships through the lens of wheat cultivation and seasonal labour migrations, drawing on ethnomusicological analysis of local folk songs and ethnographic interviews, to approach oral tradition as living practice.
